Using Fabulous Flamingo for Inspire. Create. Challenges

Hello!
And welcome to another fun week at Inspire. Create. Challenges! And this week it's a challenge to make a card with an animal theme. I must admit I was tempted to use the Magical Day bundle (again) but I did resist ;-)
So, it turns out I don't have very many stamp sets with animals in them! Who knew? Thankfully the other day I had a little tidy up of my craft room and also a move around so my stamp sets are now all in front of where I sit (see my Instagram HERE) and it was because of this I spotted this Fabulous Flamingo stamp set that I haven't used in ages! I really like being able to see all my sets so easily and have remembered lots that I want to play with again...
Anyway, here's my very tropical card for this challenge.....
I stamped the body of the flamingo (birds are animals, right?) in Flirty Flamingo then added the legs and detail in Versamark before heat embossing in gold.
TIP 1: Make sure the first, pink ink layer is totally dry before stamping the detail with the versamark. You can test this by sprinkling gold embossing powder on before you stamp the second layer. If it sticks a little, brush it all off and dry the first layer either with a heat tool or leave it a little longer to air dry.
TIP 2: Be sure to use your embossing buddy before stamping the second parts!
I mentioned on Instagram that I would love some wallpaper like this stamped background. Hmm, I'm not sure the Mr would agree....
I was really pleased with how this card turned out. Exactly as I planned, fresh and bright. Can you tell I'm ready for the rain and cold to stop? ;-)
Well, we do hope you can join in with this fortnights challenge.
For more inspiration from the rest of the DT (or just to see their wonderful makes) you can hop over to the Inspire. Create. blog HERE.
Which also happens to be where you can upload your entry too ;-)
I hope you get a chance to craft today!
