Sale-a-Bration News and a Spring Wreath Card using Jar of Love

Hello!
I hope this post finds you well? I have been a busy bee making lots of lovely things in my craft room this weekend and I'm looking forward to sharing one of those makes here with you today :-)
But first of all I wanted to remind you briefly that Sale-a-Bration is fast coming to an end! Eek! Please also note that all Sale-a-Bration items are now on a "while stocks last" basis. So, if there's something you need then please do get in touch before 31st March! I am placing an order at the end of this week and again on the 30th March so do drop me a line to add to it or feel free to use my online hostess code for all orders over £25 and under £150:
  P9WAXTSH
Now, SU! have also just added 8 new products to the offering, yay! These are all current products in either the Spring/Summer seasonal catalogue or the Annual catalogue. Please note you need to use the codes below to get them for free ;-) ...
And some pictures, these links are the sale-a-bration links not the purchase links ;-)
All these products are also available to purchase, of course.
So, do you wanna see a card? I made this for my lovely downline Angela, who signed up during Sale-a-Bration 5 years ago! Obviously I wanted to make her a special card so I pulled out the very lovely Jar of Love to make a pretty, spring wreath...
I stamped and die cut the "5" on thick white card adding a second just die cut, vellum number for added interest.
All the die cut flowers and stems were stamped onto thick white card which makes them less flexible and therefore gives plenty of dimension. I only used to add a few dimensionals under some images.
So, if you are loving SU! products and would like a discount on your supplies or maybe you want to build a crafty business or if you just fancy getting a pretty card in 5 years, like Angela (LOL!!) then please do consider joining before the end of March! It's just about the best time to join SU! as you get to choose two free stamp sets extra in your kit! The Link to join is HERE :-)
OK, one last picture for today.
Thanks so much for looking today and I hope you liked the card!

CAS Birthday Card for Dad

Hello!
My Dad's birthday was way back in December this is the card  I made for him. I would normally have shared this with you a couple of days after his birthday but the thing was I posted this to him in Spain and it took 3 MONTHS to get there!!!! Yep, and of course it was the one time I put money in for a treat too! I was kicking myself for doing it for ages as I thought it was lost but, it did get there in the end :-) Take a look.....
I die cut the Large Letter Framelits from Gold Glimmer paper and added them to a brick wall embossed background.
This great sentiment is from My Hero stamp set which is incidentally the Ronald McDonald charity stamp set for this year. Great stamps and charity donation too :-)
OK, so don't forget it's the last couple of weeks before Sale-a-Bration, so if you need anything from either catalogue now is the perfect time to order as you get a free gift with every £45 spent.

Easy Card using the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
Today's card is a really pretty and also really easy one to create;-) Just choose a favourite colour card stock and bring out your Detailed Floral Thinlits dies! Simples!
So, I pulled out these dies and my absolute favourite colour, Flirty Flamingo to make this pretty card...
I do still love these Detailed Floral Thinlits from the annual catalogue - I think when the seasonal cattys come out it's often easy to forget all the wonderful stuff in the annual catalogue! Sentiment is from the matching stamps but any linear message would work here.
 One last picture for today.

"So In Love" Card

Hello there,
Today's card is another from a while ago made using the very pretty (and popular) Falling in Love suite, specifically the So In Love Bundle to make this is the card...
These dies are so intricate and the stamps work perfectly with them (of course!)
I'm a  sucker for the little extras and these Falling in Love embellishments are just adorable and we added gold thread behind too :-)
TIP: For a change from the scrunch and stick method of adding thread or if you want something more controlled try adding a glue dot to the rear of the embellishment and starting with the thread end fold in loops all around to make this random looped flower type of design.
I love this bokeh effect paper, don't you?

A "Basket Bunch" with Watercolour Stripes Card - with Tips

Hello!
If you don't follow me on Instagram, then why not?! He, he. That's where I post all the fun, 'what's happening right now' pictures ;-)  Like just the other day you will have seen me painting these stripes and colouring the mini eggs too - and this is the card that I made using them! I'm also totally in love with this little Easter set "Basket Bunch" that I only got this week, I'm already so happy I did ;-) see.....
All the white card I used here is shimmer card which is just lovely for watercolouring - I'm so loving watercolouring still!
TIP: I used Memento ink to stamp, this is perfect for watercolouring and it doesn't stain your photopolymer stamps. I know! I didn't realise this till very recently either. Just remember to leave it to dry completely before adding any water.
So, here is the picture I shared on Instagram, it's a little blurry on here because it's from my phone but I wanted to quickly share the brush and technique I used to get these stripes.
How To: This paintbrush brush is a flat ended, very inexpensive brush that I already had here (it's a little scratchy, if I'm honest), but it did work perfectly fine for these stripes. I used the ink pad lid and gathered a pool of ink in the top by pressing the bottom of the pad into the lid when it was closed, spritz in a couple of pumps of water to loosen the ink and then using a wet brush I simply drew stripes across. If your stripes are a little pale add more ink to the watery area in the lid and go over them before they dry. I then dried the card with my heat tool. I didn't tape it down or anything as it was a little experiment that I ended up liking (a lot) and as I heat dried it that flattened it out just fine. You could of course do that (and possibly should) but I found it worked fine for me without doing that. And that's all there is to it! If you'd like a quick video let me know and I'll see what I can do and I haven't forgotten I promised a video on my concertina card, it's on my "to do" list :-)
OK, one last picture today for you today.
