Harry S's Birthday and an update

Hello this morning,
How's ya doin'? I have a class tomorrow morning so better get this posted now so I can tidy around first thing ;-)
Today's card is the other Harry's card I mentioned the other day, this one uses the excellent papers Celebrations, they are sooo great for boys cards and as so many of us struggle with those then that can only be a good thing, these truly make it easy.
So, back to this card then,
I made a banner with Harry's name on it, Shelli showed us this idea at convention using the Modern Label Punch and I used the Just Perfect Alpha wrapped it around Silver Cord and sprayed it with Shimmer Paint spray,

Here I cut out the arrows and layered them on black card and cut them out again to point to number 6 (I like to add their age as I didn't once for Zack and that's all he kept saying all his birthday, won't make that mistake again!!)
finally a bad picture of the inside ;-)

And before I sign off I would just like to mention that the Satin Ribbons AND In Colour Ribbons are all here and cut up ready to go, email me if you would like to purchase some, most details at the top of my blog.
Thanks for looking today and I promise now I have finished most of the painting at home to try to be a better blog visitor to you all xx,

Happy Birthday Evelyn

Hello,
Today is the lovely Evelyn's birthday, Evelyn is a Jem team member and I was lucky enough to meet her at convention this year. I love how you get a chance to meet lots of different people you wouldn't normally know (Evelyn lives in Scotland) all though the love of Stampin' Up! I know, I know, it sounds dead cheesy but it is great when you get to spend time with Ladies (and Gents) who all enjoy the same thing as you do :-D
Anyway enough of the cheese, back to the card. So, I was thinking about what card to make for Evelyn and I had one of those "duuurr" moments and my mind went blank (not so unusual you might say ;-)) anyway I turned to the trusty Colour Coach and as I didn't want the card to have any sort of Christmassy feel to it. I started out with Melon Mambo and it told me to get out Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive and this was the result...

I think it is my new favourite colour combo!! In fact I made a thank-you card along the same lines of this one which I will share with you later this week, LOVE this Happy B.day stamp, it is on Page 86 in a place you may just pass it by but please don't, It's just gorgeous and the two stamps are just £12,95 ;-)
I inked the stamp using my Marker Pens to get the two colour effect, and it just so happens I am hosting a Marker Club starting in January if you need them too (I would say you definately do! they are just great for multi coloured images) see this post for more details,

The crown and background were stamped using the Artistic Etchings set, Paper is retired Night and Day but you could use Love Letter papers (in my share) or even the Neutrals Paper Patterns Stack on page 91,
and the satin ribbon (also in a share) was finished off with a button which was from the subtles collection tied on with trusty Linen Thread, couldn't live without this now!

Lastly a dodgy picture of the inside, it's really blurry, sorry, but you get the idea right?
Thanks for looking today and I really hope Evelyn likes her card and has a fab day :-D
Happy Sampin'

Caitlin's Happy Birthday

Hello, today,
Have you got snow yet??? we haven't...yet anyway ;-) keeping our fingers crossed tho.
It was Caitlins birthday last week and this is the card I made for her, unfortunately it was dark when I took these photos so the colours aren't great, so FYI they are Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzaz with a base of Crumb Cake, I again used Party This Way, can you tell I love it?

I made the number 10 using the candle and balloon, the today is from Basic Phrases with a basic Rhinestone on the flame, flower is from Boho Blossoms punch,
Sentiment layered with Word Window and Oval punches,

and her name was stamped with Basic Grey using the Just Perfect alphabet and accented using Tiny Tags and punched out with the Jewelery Punch.

So, thats all for today, keep warm whatever you are doing,
Stampin' hugs,

Harry H's Birthday

Hello,
What you up to today? I am busy again, I made a card for a special friend this morning and now I must get back to painting , this time it's Zack's new room! he is soooo excited at finally getting "his very own bedroom" aww, bless!
Anyway, speaking of Zack he had 2 parties this last weekend one on Saturday, one on Sunday, with both the boys being called Harry ;-) So I had to make 2 different cards of course! I used a colour combo based on the lovely Celebrations DSP, {In my paper share, see top of bog} Marina Mist, Real Red and Pear Pizzaz, Brilliant stamp set used was Party This Way,
Harry was stamped using Schoolbook Serif alpha punched with the Scallop Square and then layered with the new straight square punch,
I picked out the 6 on this balloon with the 1/2" circle punch,
and I inked the sentiment using Marker Pens, doesn't it look cool? If you need the Markers (and you really do ;-))I have a Marker Club starting in January, see post at top of blog :-D
Arty Angle to finish,
Sorry for a quick post today but I really must get painty again, lol.

Dasher for Mondays Class

Hello,
Here's hoping you are all well today, Zack has a party this morning and then we are going to brave the Christmas shopping! yes, on a Saturday too! I know, mad... well, I will let you know how it goes but first here is the next card ready for Monday and Tuesdays class,
I have stamped Dasher in Cherry Cobbler, with the sentiment coming from the Perfect Punches stamp set, both blinged up with Basic Rhinestones, sooo sparkly! paper is Jolly Holiday, more details on a share of the yummy new papers from the catty coming soon, watch this space...
All finished off with yummy Old Olive satin ribbon.
I hope you like today's card and if you want to come and make this and others then email me for details :-D
Stampin' hugs,

Easel Card

Hello there,
Here is the first sneaky peek at this months class, I have a couple of spaces still available for this Tuesdays class, please email me for directions, more details in the side bar>>>>>
So, onto the card, I have based this class around the gorgeous Jolly Holiday papers which have a colour combination of Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler (a firm favourite already) and Very Vanilla.
As you can see I made a base of Crumb Cake (formerly Kraft) then teamed it with this delicious Cherry Cobbler spotty paper and a hit of black to (hopefully??) modernise the whole look,

I then used the two step bird punch to create this adorable little robin red breast,

Finally the sentiment is from Occasional Greetings and all finished off with 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in black,
I hope you like this first of four cards and I will be back tomorrow with another one, of course first of all I need to re-take the photos of them as the ones I did today were totally roobish! lol!
Bye for now, Stampin' Hugs,

Convention sharing

Hello,
I have some gorgeous makes I received at convention to share with you today as well as some purchases only available at convention, {another great reason to come next year ;-)}
But first of all when we went to Monica's pre-convention party on the Thursday night we were presented with this gorgeous bag of goodies plus some munchies and a packet of hand wipes too, I love this set and I didn't have it either, great!

This picture shows the beautiful handmade gifts I received from my lovely fellow Jems, Thank-you ladies x

When we arrived at Addington Palace we each received this gorgeous bag (and yes, my Zoe has been trying to get it for school!) it contained 2 stamp sets, a lanyard, a pin, a pen and a schedule too
and here is the stunning brooch which Jules got for each of the Jems who attended this year, Thanks Jules x
and finally this is what I purchased from Momento Mall, I LOVE the pop up bin! and to think I nearly never got one!!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this little trip round some of my convention goodies, I will be back tomorrow with a sneak peek at next weeks card class, I am full on Monday now but am adding Tuesday to the dates if you are interested in coming and making 4 lovely Christmas cards then please email me for further info,
Thanks for looking today,

More Swaps

Hello,
This card today is another one I made to swap at convention in London, it was so much fun to share ideas and I got some amazing ones in return which I will photograph and share with you over the coming weeks, but back to my makes for now, I used a base of Night of Navy with Soft Suede scallop circles, ribbon is Very Vanilla grosgrain,

The little pie and hammer are from Every Little Bit stamp set, sooo brill, Love this set, I have made more with it which I will show you soon too...
I have this set in clear mount which is great because you can see exactly where you are stamping your image without having to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig every time, great when you are in a hurry,

Sentiment is from Occasional Greetings,
That's all for today, I am off to do the glossing in Josh's room but I hope you like today's card,

Dasher in Concord Crush

Hello,
I have another swap to share today, this time using the lovely Dasher, I have had him for a while but not actually even mounted him 'till I made these, shame on me!
So the base is Pretty in Pink with the strip of card down the side in Concord Crush with the (even better in real life) ribbon to match, snowflake is from Sparkly and Bright set using White craft ink,

I inked Dasher in Concord Crush and added oodles of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to his antlers, well, it's not a Christmas card without bling is it??

Sentiment is from Perfect Punches which I stamped twice and then punched the pink layer too,

I hope you like, I will be back tomorrow with some more of my swaps,

Roomie Gift

Hello,
When we go to Convention you make a gift for the person we are sharing the hotel room with and I was sharing with my lovely up line and very good friend Jules. I wanted to make something a bit special for her and I decided on a ribbon wreath, I chose to make it in Old Olive and yummy Rich Razzleberry,

This is what it looked like inside the box,

I decorated the outside of the box to match the ribbon colours too ;-)
the only two bits of stampin' were the Very Vintage wheel and the sentiment from Occasional Greetings, so cute. It doesn't show but I sprayed shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to give a great pearly shine to the whole outside of the lid,

Well, that's it for today, I will let you know what she thinks when I get back,
See you again soon,
Hugs,
